Trichoscopy is based on the evaluation of a set of videodermoscopic images of the scalp. These images are subject to an automatic computerized image analysis. Advanced pattern recognition algorithms allow to automatically detect and precisely measure hair, hair follicles and other important objects visible in the images. Detailed data on hair and hair follicles are then used to calculate key statistical factors of the trichoscopic method.

Algorithms and computation methods used by TrichoLAB are continuously improved and the experience gained with each performed test allow to enhance the testing precision.
